Privacy policy

The short version. This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The overlay you buy talks to exactly one place — the public Apex stats API — and never reports anything back to me. The only personal data I hold is what you send me directly, plus the order details Stripe shows me when you buy something.

Who I am

svoidsapexfx is a one-person business selling overlays for Apex Legends streamers. Contact for anything on this page, including requests to see or delete your data: svoid37@svoidsapexfx.com.

This website

svoidsapexfx.com is a static site. It sets no cookies, has no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising. I cannot tell who visits it.

Two third parties are unavoidably involved just by the page loading:

GitHub Pages hosts the site. Like any web host, GitHub's servers receive your IP address and browser details in order to send you the page.
Google Fonts serves the two typefaces the site uses. Your browser requests those files from Google, so Google receives your IP address and browser details.
Apex Legends Status serves the rank badge images in the demo on the home page, so their servers receive the same when those images load.

Buying something

Payments are handled by Stripe, who act as merchant of record. You enter your payment details on Stripe's checkout, not on my site. I never see or hold your full card number.

What I do see for each order is your email address, the product bought, the amount, the country used for tax, and the last four digits and card type. I use that to deliver what you bought, to answer support questions, and to keep the records I'm required to keep. I don't sell it, and I don't add you to a mailing list without you asking.

Stripe processes your data under their own privacy policy, which is worth reading if you care about the detail: stripe.com/privacy.

The overlay itself

This is the part most people actually want to know about, so plainly: the overlay is an HTML file that runs on your own machine, inside your own browser or OBS.

Your API key and in-game name are stored in that file, on your computer. They are not uploaded anywhere.
While running, it makes one request per minute to the Apex Legends Status API to ask for your own public rank. That's the only outbound connection it makes.
Nothing is ever sent to me. There's no analytics, no telemetry, no licence check and no phone-home. I have no way to know whether you're running it.
It does not read your game, your files, or anything else on your machine.

Custom overlay work

If you commission custom work, I'll hold whatever you send me — artwork, logos, screenshots, colours, and our email thread — for as long as needed to do the job and to support it afterwards. Ask and I'll delete it. I won't use your branding as a portfolio piece without checking with you first.

How long I keep things

Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Support emails are kept until they're no longer useful. Files sent for custom work are deleted on request, and otherwise once the work is finished and settled.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the personal data I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email me and I'll do it. There's no form and no process — it's one person reading the message.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change materially affects buyers, I'll say so on the site rather than quietly editing the page.
