Terms of service

The short version. You're buying a licence to use the overlay on your own streams, forever, on as many of your own machines as you like. You can modify your copy. You can't resell it or pass it around. If it doesn't work and I can't fix it, you get your money back.

Who you're buying from

svoidsapexfx, a sole trader based in Maryland, United States. Contact: svoid37@svoidsapexfx.com. Payments are processed by Stripe, who act as merchant of record for the sale.

What you get

A licence to use the overlay you bought. Specifically, you may:

Use it on every stream and video you make, commercial or not, forever.
Install it on as many machines as you personally use.
Modify your copy — colours, fonts, layout, your own branding.

You may not:

Resell it, sublicense it, or give it away, modified or not.
Publish the source, or include it in an overlay pack or bundle.
Share your copy with other streamers. Each person needs their own.

The licence is yours, not your organisation's. If you're buying for a team, buy a copy per person or email me and we'll sort something out.

Delivery

Products are digital and delivered immediately after payment. There's nothing to ship and nothing to wait for. If a download fails or you lose your file, email me and I'll send it again — that's not a second purchase.

Refunds

If it doesn't work, you get your money back. Email me within 30 days, tell me what's happening, and give me a fair chance to fix it. Most problems are a wrong in-game name or an API key issue and take one reply to solve. If I can't get it working for you, I'll refund you in full.

What I won't refund is buying it twice by accident and telling me a year later, or "I changed my mind" after months of use. Beyond that, I'd rather refund someone than argue with them.

Custom work

Custom overlays are quoted per job. Once you accept a quote:

Turnaround is 1–3 business days from the point I have everything I need from you. If the queue is longer than that when you ask, I'll tell you before you pay rather than after.
One round of revisions is included. Further changes are quoted separately.
You must have the rights to what you send me. If a designer made your current overlay, check your agreement with them before sending it. I take your word for it, and you're responsible for that being true.
The finished work is yours to use on your streams under the same licence terms above. I keep the right to refuse a commission for any reason, in which case you aren't charged.

What the overlay depends on

The rank overlay reads your rank from Apex Legends Status, an independent community stats service I don't own or control. You need your own free API key from them, and their terms apply to your use of it.

If that service changes, breaks or shuts down, the overlay may stop showing live data. I'll do my best to adapt it, and updates are free — but I can't guarantee a third party's service, and that's outside what a refund covers once you're past the window above.

Respawn also changes ranked RP thresholds between seasons. When that happens I update the file, and the values are editable by hand in the meantime.

No warranty

The overlay is provided as-is. It reads public stats and draws them on a page — it does not modify Apex Legends, read game memory, or inject anything into the game, and I'm not aware of any way it could put your game account at risk. That said, I can't make guarantees about decisions Electronic Arts, Respawn or any third-party service make. To the extent the law allows, my liability is limited to what you paid.

Apex Legends is a trademark of Electronic Arts Inc. svoidsapexfx is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Electronic Arts or Respawn Entertainment.

Changes

These terms may change; the date at the top will change with them. The terms that apply to your purchase are the ones published when you bought.
